The results of the most recent Italian research assessment exercise came out on the 22nd of February, and we're all walking on air as they're just the best they could possibly be! We're top of the table for any possible index, be it the overall average evaluation per research product, the average evaluation weighted within the whole of Psychology/Neuroscience in Italy, or the percentage of excellent research products. We're the best Cognitive Neuroscience group in the country, however one measure it!

Being a small group clearly helped in this great achievement; but being small is a choice in itself, and we're proud to stick to a quality-over-quantity philosophy. We're also well aware that figures don't always say it all; but this is just one additional great figure (e.g., there's five ERC and several Human Frontiers grants running in the group, and we regularly populate the top journals); so, many different figures add up nicely to form an overall bright picture.

We thank everyone who contributed to this important success, and we take it as a spur to work even harder in the future.
